First day at Heartwood: July 15, 1996, thought he'd lost his mind because he had been working at Nautilus for five years in an air-conditioned gym. Started the day out climbing into the crew cab of an old rusty chipper truck affectionately named "the bomb", immediately showed an affinity to dragging heavy brush and massive logs with gusto, and finished it all off with a couple of cold ones at the shop.
Hometown: Aiken, SC.
Education: Attended Gardner Webb Univeristy (It was called a college then, but whatever) Majored in exercise physiology, lettered in football and track.
Further Background: Heartwood employee since 1996 except for a couple of years of self enlightenment. Certified Arborist since 1999, attendee of many, many seminars and industry trade shows, as well as bluegrass festivals and some raves, not the crazy out of control raves you hear about on the news, but some low-key all night "get your groove on" raves.
Accomplishments: Was once down to 8% body fat. Taught Pat to love again.
Hobbies: Fishing. Watching football, or any other sport, and drinking. That's right ladies, the trifecta.
Favorite Movie: Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Turn-ons: New England Patriot losses. Karma 1, Patriots 0
Turn-offs: New England Patriots. Tom Brady. Bill Bellichick.
Marital Status: Similar to West Virginia, Open For Business.
